Atom Grants is MTSU’s electronic research administration system designed to support faculty and staff throughout the sponsored-project lifecycle. The platform provides a centralized location for developing and routing proposals for institutional review and approval, while helping streamline grant-related processes and improve coordination among investigators, departments, colleges, and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP). By bringing proposal information, approvals, and sponsored-project activities into one system, Atom Grants helps make research administration more efficient, transparent, and accessible for the MTSU community.

Atom Projects
Projects organizes funding searches by individual efforts, replacing person-based matching. Each project holds interests, eligibility, team, and saved grants, directing feeds, results, emails, and checks accordingly. Learn more about Projects.

Atom AI Reviewer
Atom AI Reviewer evaluates grant packages against solicitations and requirements to provide scored, specific feedback like a program officer, all in a secure environment. Learn more about the AI Reviewer.

How Eligibity works
Eligibility uses your profile and AI to extract explicit criteria, replacing broad matching with yes, no, or requests for details. Pregenerated requirements increase speed and accuracy, reducing guesswork for researchers. Learn more about Eligibility.

How Profiles are generated
Atom Grants has scrapped the internet to build user profiles using publically available data, but users can also upload documents like CVs to Atom’s profile assistant to create a more refined profile. Atom’s profile assistant can extract and add details to your profile with your approval. This improves profile accuracy and speeds eligibility checks. Learn more about Profiles.
